Job summary

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Advisor to drive supplier engagement and sourcing strategies for major capital projects, including transmission lines and substations.

You will support bid and project mobilisation, negotiate commercial outcomes, and provide insights to senior leadership in a fast-paced environment. Flexible working options are available across Australia.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management or Commerce, MBA preferred.
7+ years in capital project procurement in energy, infrastructure or resources.
Proven success supporting high-value bids and tenders across public or private sectors.
Experience managing complex procurement packages, including long lead time and international sourcing.
Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and relationship management capabilities.
Knowledge of Australian construction markets, forms of contract and procurement governance.

Responsibilities

Lead supplier and subcontractor engagement, managing complex sourcing activities.
Develop and execute sourcing and contracting strategies to support bids and project mobilisation.
Negotiate commercial outcomes and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
