Job summary

The City of Whittlesea is seeking a Senior Development Manager – Precinct Delivery to lead investment and development initiatives across city precincts. You will coordinate private sector development, assess feasibility, and craft commercial strategies with landowners, developers and government partners.

Qualifications

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Property Economics, Property Development, Architecture or Built Environment, Construction, Project Management (or demonstrated solid contemporary experience).
• Experience partnering with internal departments and external stakeholders in property and business sectors.
• Proven track record delivering precinct-scale development translating strategic visions into great places that attract investment.
• Strong project management with timely delivery and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Council investment and facilitation of high-quality private sector development aligned with infrastructure plans.
• Assess development opportunities and advise on feasibility, delivery considerations and strategic implications for town centre plans and priority precincts.
• Develop and implement commercial strategies and agreements with landowners, developers, government agencies, purchasers and tenants.
• Provide commercial advice and strategies to project teams to ensure alignment, accountability and delivery.
• Deliver outcomes on the ground across key locations to accelerate investment.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with government, private sector investors, community groups and internal teams.
