Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Sydney is seeking a Manager Group Planning & Forecasting to influence decisions at the CEO, CFO, ELT and Board and to lead strategic planning, forecasting and performance insights for one of Australia's leading financial institutions.

You will drive automation, innovation and continuous improvement across Group Finance reporting and analytics, partnering with senior leaders to optimise capital allocation and long‑term growth.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong analytical, commercial and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Experience in financial planning, forecasting, performance reporting or commercial finance.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
• Advanced Excel skills and a high level of attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with Tableau, Alteryx or Power BI is advantageous.
• A proactive risk mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Delivering insightful analysis on Group revenue drivers, cost management, capital efficiency and risk‑adjusted returns.
• Managing and continuously improving Group planning and forecasting processes.
• Leading automation and reporting transformation initiatives across the team.
• Providing scenario modelling and forecasting to support the Group's financial outlook.
• Building trusted relationships across Finance and business stakeholders to influence outcomes.
• Supporting the delivery of strategic reporting and analysis for the Board, CEO, CFO and Executive Leadership Team.
