Job summary

PCYC Queensland is seeking a Media and Corporate Communications Manager to lead the strategic development and execution of corporate communications. The role is based at PCYC Lang Park and supports the Corporate Services team in delivering multi‑channel communications, media relations, and issues management.

You will drive internal/external communication initiatives, craft compelling messaging, and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with PCYC’s mission and priorities.

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification and a minimum of eight (8) years' experience in a communication role.
• Demonstrated ability to develop a new/refreshed approach to internal and external communication strategies and campaigns.
• Highly developed strategy, writing/editing, message development and project management skills.
• Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to travel across the state as required.
• Eligibility for a QLD Working with Children (Blue Card) and National Police Check.

Responsibilities

• As the Media and Corporate Communications Manager, work with the Head of Corporate Services to develop and implement a contemporary multi‑stranded corporate communication strategy.
• Build and maintain internal and external media relations and manage broader media and issues.
• Align communications with PCYC’s purpose and organisational priorities.
