Job summary

Monash Advisory Pty Ltd in Sydney seeks a high-calibre Management Accountant to join a dynamic corporate advisory team. This permanent, full-time role blends management accounting analysis with financial modelling, forecasting and strategic decision support.

You will work with senior management to analyse performance, support commercial decisions and contribute to transaction-related analyses. 3+ years’ experience and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a relevant role.
• Strong understanding of management accounting and financial statements.
• Excellent financial modelling and analytical capability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse management accounts and financial statements to assess business performance.
• Review P&L, balance sheet and cash flow, identify trends and variances.
• Perform budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and cash flow analysis.
• Review cost structures and pricing assumptions in financial models.
• Build and maintain detailed financial models and scenario analyses.
• Conduct valuation and financial analysis of businesses and investment opportunities, incl. M&A.
• Prepare financial analysis, reports and presentations for senior management.
• Support assessment of strategic initiatives and potential transactions.
• Collaborate with clients and counterparties to interpret financial data.
