Our Global Financial Systems team owns the platforms Optiver’s finance function runs on: NetSuite, Kyriba, Coupa, OneStream and Concur, and the integrations that connect them to each other. We are moving from reactive support to real system ownership, with automation and AI taking on more of the routine work.

Based in Sydney, you will own that estate for our APAC entities. You will run the regional support queue, trace issues across systems until you know where they broke, and work with the team in Amsterdam and Chicago to keep the platforms consistent globally. The role starts in support and is built to grow into more strategic work as automation takes the repetitive load off the queue.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Provide L1/L2 support for Finance Systems and own the regional support queue: ticket triage and prioritization, incident management, SLA tracking, root cause analysis, and timely follow-up on escalations and stakeholder requests.
  • Maintain the operational reliability of key finance platforms such as NetSuite, Kyriba, Coupa, OneStream, and Concur, working with the global team to keep them consistent and scalable across regions.
  • Identify repetitive support work and help automate it through process improvements and AI-assisted tooling, and contribute to enhancements and workflow improvements that reduce manual work across the finance technology landscape
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the integrations between our finance systems and with our banks, for example Kyriba payment and statement files, Coupa to NetSuite, and the Workato flows between them. When an interface fails, pick it up: work out where in the chain it broke, resolve it or elevate it with a clear diagnosis, and make sure nothing is left half-processed.
  • Own and prioritise the regional support queue across the APAC entities, providing clear communication and expectation management.
  • Coordinate regional testing and rollout for global finance systems projects that land in APAC.
  • Identify repetitive support work and help automate it through process improvements and AI-assisted tooling, and contribute to enhancements and workflow improvements that reduce manual work across the finance technology landscape.
  • Develop and maintain support documentation, runbooks, knowledge base articles and handover materials to reduce recurring issues.

WHO YOU ARE

Strong interest in AI, automation, and process improvement to reduce manual work and improve support quality, and the motivation to grow as the role evolves from support into more strategic work
  • Experience with NetSuite and L1/L2 application support.
  • Comfortable working across system boundaries: able to trace a transaction from one system to another, read logs, understand file transfers and APIs, and judge whether a failure sits with the source, the middleware or the target. Hands‑on experience with an integration platform, Workato for example, is a strong plus.
  • Able to write queries or small scripts (SQL/SuiteQL, Python or similar) both to investigate problems and to automate repetitive work.
  • Exposure to Coupa strongly preferred.
  • A proactive, ownership-driven approach to managing tickets, priorities, and escalations independently, with sound judgement under time pressure and the confidence to elevate early when something is payment or cash critical.

  • Experience working in a global, English-speaking environment.
