Job summary

BlueScope Steel Limited is seeking an experienced Category Manager, Logistics based in Port Kembla, NSW. This role leads development, negotiation and management of major logistics contracts across Australian operations, working with senior stakeholders to optimize value.

The role focuses on driving category strategy, improving total cost of ownership, and governance of supplier relationships to deliver sustainable commercial outcomes across multiple business units.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics and/or supply chain, preferably road logistics.
• Proven ability to develop, negotiate, implement and manage supplier contracts.
• Strong understanding of logistics cost drivers and total-cost thinking.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement category strategies for significant logistics activities.
• Lead supplier negotiations and sourcing aligned with business plans.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, Procurement and others to identify improvement opportunities.
• Govern major logistics contracts, ensure continuity of service and risk management.
• Lead the implementation of new logistics services agreements and changes.
• Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
