Job summary

Shire of Northam is seeking an experienced Chief Executive Officer to provide strategic leadership and guide the organisation through its next growth phase. Reporting to Council, the CEO will drive performance, financial sustainability, major projects and stakeholder engagement to deliver sustainable community outcomes.

The role requires a credible, collaborative leader with WA local government experience and the ability to translate strategy into measurable priorities.

Qualifications

• Executive leadership for a complex, multidisciplinary organisation.
• Strategic translation of Council strategy into priorities and outcomes.
• Strong budgeting, long-term financial planning and capital works oversight.
• Experience overseeing asset portfolios and major projects.
• Governance, risk management and regulatory framework expertise.
