Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a commercially astute Strategic Vendor Manager to govern and optimize performance of major technology vendors and outsourced partners. • Strong understanding of service management principles and performance-based governance.
• Ability to analyze vendor performance and provide actionable leadership insights.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic management and governance of key IT vendors and outsourced services.
• Build relationships with vendor leadership and cross-functional teams (tech, finance, legal, risk).
• Lead executive reviews, monitor SLAs and KPIs, maintain governance dashboards.
• Identify and escalate vendor risks, disputes and service failures; ensure compliance with security and audit standards.
• Drive service improvements and remediation plans with vendors; support strategic sourcing initiatives.
