Job summary

Vopak is seeking an experienced HR Manager for Port Botany, NSW. You will lead local HR strategy, build a high-performing team, and partner with global HR to drive organizational excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience within a multinational corporation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• Relevant professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD, or equivalent).
• Demonstrated track record of holding strategic leadership positions.
• Proven capability in driving key change management, organizational transformation, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Extensive experience managing industrial relations, enterprise agreement negotiations, and operational turnarounds.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure and within strict timelines.

Responsibilities

• Formulate, develop, lead and implement local HR strategy and initiatives aligned with business objectives for the country.
• Lead to acquire, develop and retain talents, including performance management and succession planning.
• Collaborate with local and global HR teams to meet objectives and requirements.
• Develop and implement HR policies and frameworks for the organization; create underlying procedures.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and monitor implementation.
• Stay abreast of latest HR developments and interpret insights for leadership and employees.
• Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders, unions, government bodies and vendors.
