Job summary

Multicultural Consulting Services Pty. seeks an experienced HR and industrial relations leader to guide workforce planning and employee relations for a major rail infrastructure alliance in Perth.

You will work with project leaders to shape delivery outcomes and align HR strategies across partner organisations. The role requires navigating unionised workforces, large-scale projects and joint venture dynamics while driving performance, inclusion and safety across multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Experience leading HR and IR for large construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong ability to navigate unionised workforces and collective bargaining.
• Proven capability to manage diverse, multi-partner alliance environments.
• Experience with joint ventures or alliance structures is advantageous.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and senior stakeholder influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise project leaders on people decisions that support delivery objectives.
• Develop coordinated HR and industrial relations plans across alliance partners.
• Guide workforce planning, talent development and organisational structure.
• Oversee employee relations cases and promote compliant outcomes.
• Build engagement, inclusion and safety into workforce initiatives.
• Strengthen performance and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
