Job summary

A senior opportunity to lead the heritage practice within an established architecture and design firm. Reporting to the Managing Director and sitting on the executive leadership team, this role combines strategic direction, team leadership, project oversight and business development.

National travel is required. Ideal background includes 12+ years’ heritage experience, a Master’s in Heritage Conservation and ICOMOS accreditation, plus strong knowledge of Australian architectural history and

Qualifications

12+ years’ heritage experience with demonstrated leadership.
Master’s in Heritage Conservation or related qualification; ICOMOS accreditation.
Strong knowledge of Australian architectural history, building fabric and heritage law.
Established reputation as a heritage specialist with complex issue resolution.
Strong commercial judgement, client relationships and leadership ability.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement the heritage practice’s strategy and growth opportunities.
Oversee complex heritage projects with technical excellence and solid outcomes.
Provide expert heritage advice and negotiate outcomes with clients and authorities.
Lead and develop the team, manage resources, workloads and performance.
Oversee budgets, financial performance and professional services risk.
Collaborate with other leaders and contribute to organisational strategy.
