Job summary

Woolworths Group is seeking a Government Relations Manager - Property based in New South Wales. This strategic advisory role focuses on developing and executing state and local government engagement plans to unlock planning approvals and advance property priorities across VIC, TAS, QLD, SA, NT, and WA.

Based in Norwest with flexible locations and a hybrid work model, you will lead advocacy efforts, manage reputational risk, and collaborate with internal teams to align projects with governance

Qualifications

• Approximately 5–8 years of experience in government relations, community engagement, communications or related discipline.
• Sector background in planning, development or related sectors.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing ability with government, industry and community stakeholders.
• Demonstrated advocacy and writing skills across government submissions, briefing papers and presentations.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice and transactional execution to advance Woolworths Group’s property pipeline.
• Drive proactive stakeholder engagement with state and local governments, communities and industry groups.
• Support planning approvals and accelerate project delivery while mitigating reputational risk.
• Collaborate with internal property and RGIA teams to align stakeholder activities with project timelines.
• Maintain and update the stakeholder engagement toolkit for consistent application across projects.
