Job summary

CIMIC Group is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, FP&A based in North Sydney to lead planning, forecasting and reporting across CPB Contractors. You will provide timely, actionable insights to support business performance and strategic decisions.

You will partner with multiple finance teams and project stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy, drive efficiencies, and deliver executive-level reporting for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance or Accounting or related discipline.
• CA/CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 5–7 years’ experience in FP&A, Finance or accounting.
• Experience in large, complex organisations with global ops is desirable.
• Strong modelling, analytics and data-to-insight capability.
• Experience budgeting, forecasting and reporting in corporate environment.
• Advanced Excel and proficiency with financial systems & reporting platforms.
• Experience with OneStream and ERP reporting tools is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly close, forecasting and planning deliverables using OneStream and other systems.
• Provide variance analysis with insights for senior management.
• Manage annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Analyse ERP/OneStream/project data to identify trends and risks.
• Collaborate with BU finance and project stakeholders on performance forecasts.
• Support pipeline forecasting and risk reviews with Pre-Contracts & Risk teams.
• Prepare executive-level reporting for MD and ELT.
• Oversee monthly management reporting and group initiatives.
• Guide stakeholders on forecasting methodologies and processes.
• Mentor junior team members; respond to ad hoc analysis requests.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and SHE framework alignment.
