Job summary

Assistant Director Financial Reporting in Canberra, ACT, is sought to lead the Financial Reporting team in the Strategic Finance Branch. The role focuses on accurate, timely financial reporting, including month-end and annual reporting, financial statement preparation, and balance sheet management.

The successful candidate will perform reconciliations, financial analysis and stakeholder engagement while contributing to an inclusive, flexible working environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in accounting/finance or related fields are desirable.
• Membership of CA ANZ, CPA Australia or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of accurate, timely and compliant financial reporting outcomes for the Directorate.
• Prepare month-end and annual financial reporting and financial statements.
• Manage balance sheet, perform reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate financial information and insights.
