genU is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Accounting Manager to lead our Financial Accounting team in Geelong, overseeing statutory reporting, governance, and commercial insights that drive performance.

As CA or CPA qualified with a strong accounting background, you will strengthen controls, manage external audits, and guide decision-making across the organisation. This fixed-term role runs until June 2027 with flexible hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualification with accounting degree.
• Experience interpreting complex business drivers and communicating insights to stakeholders.
• Proven leadership of teams and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Financial Accounting team, providing coaching, mentorship, and strategic financial leadership across the organisation.
• Oversee statutory reporting, annual financial accounts, and external audit processes, ensuring accuracy, governance, and compliance.
• Drive financial reporting and analysis that delivers meaningful insights, supports decision-making, and enhances organisational performance.
• Strengthen financial controls, risk management, and financial systems to improve efficiency, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
• Provide expert guidance on taxation, government funding, and strategic initiatives, including complex financial and commercial matters.
