Job summary

The NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water is seeking a Senior Manager in Finance Business Advisory to partner with the Water Group and senior executives. You will lead planning, budgeting and forecasting, and translate numbers into strategic guidance that shapes investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a senior finance or advisory role within a complex organisation.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial matters clearly.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis skills.
• Collaborative leadership style with experience guiding teams.
• Proactive, adaptable to a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting and forecasting for the Water Group.
• Develop business cases and support funding submissions and long-term planning.
• Provide strategic financial advice to executives and senior teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and ensure strong financial governance.
• Collaborate with CFO and Director Water Finance on priorities.
