Job summary

The Victorian Government Solicitor's Office (VGSO) is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to drive strategic financial advice and planning across the organisation. You will partner with senior leaders to deliver budgeting, forecasting and performance insights that support sustainable outcomes.

As the trusted adviser, you will develop financial models, perform scenario analyses and lead continuous improvement in financial reporting.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis.
Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate complex financial information into practical insights.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and ability to influence decisions at all levels.
Advanced analytical and problem-solving capability with trend and risk assessment.
Experience developing business cases and financial models for strategic initiatives.
Proven ability to lead or contribute to process improvement in financial reporting and performance.

Responsibilities

Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
Provide insights and analysis across client and revenue performance, utilisation, pricing, and workforce planning.
Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
Develop business cases, financial models and scenario analyses for key initiatives.
Identify trends, risks and opportunities to improve organisational performance.
Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting, insights, systems and processes.
