Job summary

Randstad partners with a prominent Queensland Public Sector organisation on the Gold Coast to recruit a permanent Finance Business Partner. AO5 level, overseeing strategic financial analysis, budgeting and performance management to guide operational leadership.

The successful candidate will provide expert advice on internal budgeting, forecasting and employee expenditure, using Excel and ERP systems to drive financial decisions. A Criminal History Check will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA/CPA qualification considered favourable.
• Experience in end-to-end financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting and month-end close.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex financial research and variance analysis to identify key performance drivers.
• Perform cost-driver and profitability analysis across operational units to drive efficiencies.
• Provide advisory support on budgeting, forecasting, employee expenditure and financial implications of decisions.
• Translate financial insights for non-finance stakeholders and build strong business partnerships.
• Deliver timely management reporting, month-end processes and GL reconciliations.
