Job summary

Department of the Chief Minister and Cabinet in Darwin seeks an experienced online communications and engagement specialist to develop strategic communications and manage digital engagement activities. Qualifications

Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse stakeholders.
Experience developing and implementing strategic online communication and engagement plans across digital platforms.
High-level organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously while managing multiple projects.
Experience with digital technologies, social media management, content creation and analytics.
Proficiency in graphic design and development of professional communication materials.
Experience in video recording, editing and publishing content for digital and social platforms.
Ability to work in a sensitive, fast-paced, high-profile environment with sound judgement/discretion.
Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to integrity, accountability and transparency.
Formal qualifications in a relevant field or demonstrated government experience.
Experience in Government and/or Parliamentary processes.

Responsibilities

Build and implement social media strategies to strengthen online engagement and digital presence.
Develop and deliver engaging digital content across platforms to communicate key messages and priorities.
Monitor, maintain and grow social media channels ensuring content is relevant and audience-focused.
Develop and maintain stakeholder databases and support engagement activities.
Coordinate newsletters, direct mail, and other communication products to stakeholders and community.
Assist in planning and delivering community engagement activities and events.
Monitor digital trends, audience insights and analytics to inform strategies and improve engagement.
Collaborate with team to ensure communications are accurate and aligned with objectives.
