Job summary

DoorDash is seeking a Data Scientist to dive deep into data, run experiments, and deliver actionable insights that drive revenue and operations. You will partner with product, finance and engineering to shape strategy and execution.

You’ll design end-to-end analytics experiments, build dashboards, and identify levers to improve key metrics across the marketplace from supply to demand and customer growth. This role focuses on turning data into decisions that impact DoorDash’s global platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data analytics, consulting, or related quantitative role
• Ability to solve ambiguous problems with a structured, hypothesis-driven, data-supported approach
• Experience leading strategic projects with cross-functional teams
• Experience with experimentation techniques (A/B testing, causal inference) and interpreting results
• Strong SQL skills and basic ETL knowledge
• Proficiency in Python or R
• Proficiency with analytics and visualization tools

Responsibilities

• Be a first-class thought partner to product, business, finance and executive teams and help them decide what’s next for DoorDash
• Use quantitative analysis and data storytelling to understand what drives the business
• Build full-cycle analytics experiments, reports and dashboards using SQL, Python, R or similar tools
• Identify levers to move key metrics and make data-driven recommendations
• Produce insights to explain marketplace dynamics, user behavior and long-term trends
• Collaborate with strategy, operations, product, finance and engineering while prioritising competing needs
