Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a cost planner to join our Melbourne team. You will measure all elements for cost plans, price items from first principles, prepare cost reports and assess tender returns to support recommendations to the Superintendent.

With 3+ years post graduate experience and AIQS of RICS membership or on the pathway, you will contribute across pre-contract, procurement and post-contract activities, leveraging CostX and our market intelligence data.

Qualifications

• 3+ years post graduate experience.
• AIQS of RICS member or currently on the pathway to membership.
• Experience with CostX is preferred.
• Experience across the life cycle of projects: pre-contract, procurement and post contract.

Responsibilities

• Measurement of all elements for preparation of cost plan.
• Pricing of individual items within a cost plan from first principals including market engagement where required.
• Preparation of cost reports.
• Assessment of tender returns and preparation of tender recommendation report.
• Assessment of contractor variations and payment claims.
• Compilation of benchmarking and market intelligence data.
• Utilisation of our Hive digital offering for deliverables implementation.

• Assessment of contractor payment claims and preparation of a payment recommendation to the Superintendent

• Utilisation of our digital offering, the Hive, for implementation of all deliverables

Qualifications

• 3+ years post graduate experience
• AIQS of RICS member or currently on the pathway to membership
• Experience in CostX preferred
• Experience across the life cycle of projects with experience in pre-contract, procurement, and post contract activities
