Job summary

NEXTDC is seeking a Senior Category Manager to shape contingent workforce and professional services procurement strategy across Australia and Asia. You will negotiate high-value commercial agreements and build strategic vendor partnerships that keep our development pipeline moving.

You will lead end-to-end sourcing, drive AI-enabled procurement, manage risk, and collaborate with Development, Engineering and Construction teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain, Law, or related discipline.
MCIPS qualification or working towards it.
5+ years procurement or category management experience, including leading contingent labour and/or professional services.
Experience with MSP/VMS, panel agreements and SOW governance.
Experience in data centres, critical infrastructure, construction, energy, telecoms or technology.
Experience operating across Asia‑Pacific.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute multi-year category strategies for contingent labour and professional services.
Analyse spend, rate benchmarks and market dynamics to identify savings opportunities.
Lead end-to-end RFI, RFP and tender processes and negotiations with providers.
Design and lead the contingent workforce operating model and supplier panels.
Develop commercial frameworks and procurement models with third parties.
Own category risk framework with People & Culture and Legal.
Manage supplier relationships and performance through KPIs and QBRs.
Collaborate with Development, Engineering and Construction teams to secure resourcing.
Develop policies and guidelines covering approvals, onboarding, and procure-to-pay with technology.
Define and report category performance metrics and savings.
