Job summary

EVT is seeking an experienced Conference & Events Sales professional to join our team. You will manage and coordinate sales across meetings, conferences, banquets, social events and weddings; handle enquiries, book appointments, and support lead generation and follow ups.

Deliver site inspections, upsell products, maintain data in iVvy, and prepare regular sales reports. You will collaborate across departments to maximise revenue and guest experience, driving repeat business.

Qualifications

• Experience in Conference & Events or Sales is essential.
• Strong relationship-building and business development skills are required.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
• Ability to plan, pitch and close sales effectively.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Able to collaborate across departments.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate conference and event sales across meetings, conferences, banquets, social events, and weddings.
• Handle enquiries, book appointments, support lead generation, and complete follow ups.
• Conduct proactive and reactive sales activity to meet budgets.
• Deliver hotel site inspections for clients and partners.
• Upsell products and services to maximise revenue.
• Maintain accurate data and bookings in iVvy and manage the conference database.
• Prepare regular sales reports and communicate room block requirements with Reservations.
• Respond to all enquiries within 24 hours and maintain strong client relationships.
• Collaborate with internal departments to enhance guest experience and drive repeat business.
• Track lost business reasons and elevate insights to management.
• Support local and national campaigns and assist with additional sales duties as required.
