Job summary

University of Wollongong (UOW) invites applications for a Compliance Officer to support its Risk and Compliance Management Uplift Program. The role coordinates enterprise risk initiatives, drives capability development, and strengthens governance across faculties and controlled entities.

The position sits within the Integrity, Legal and Governance Division and reports on governance documentation, training and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Degree in project management, business, risk management, governance, compliance, organisational development or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience coordinating projects, programs or organisational improvement initiatives in a complex environment.
• Experience supporting change management, capability development, stakeholder engagement, training or communication programs.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and multiple workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and governance documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of enterprise risk and compliance uplift initiatives, ensuring milestones, deliverables and implementation activities are effectively managed.
• Support capability development through training programs, workshops, communication campaigns and organisational change initiatives.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement and consultation across faculties, divisions and controlled entities to support successful program outcomes.
• Prepare project reporting, governance documentation, presentations and implementation updates to support effective oversight and decision making.
