Job summary

Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) – Flinders Medical Centre – Corporate Communications team in Adelaide is seeking a Principal Communications Adviser to lead strategic communications initiatives for SALHN's internal and external audiences.

Reporting to the Manager Corporate Communications, you will develop and implement communication strategies, lead projects, and mentor staff to ensure effective and consistent messaging across campaigns and services, boosting confidence in SALHN.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to write for a range of audiences with detail and plain English.
• Strong liaison, negotiation and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide strategic and innovative communications solutions.
• Experience in developing and implementing communication plans.

Responsibilities

• Leading planning, development, implementation and monitoring of strategic communication, social marketing and community engagement.
• Providing expert strategic communications advice to executive staff on stakeholder activities.
• Coordinating day-to-day communications and marketing activities with guidance and supervision.
• Identifying and monitoring work of team members, including training and development.
• Maintaining relationships with Executive staff, the Minister's Office and community groups.
