Job summary

Sharp and Carter is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager to partner with senior Sales, Marketing and business leaders, guiding profitability and strategic decisions. You’ll influence budgeting, forecasting and business cases with robust financial insight.

You’ll build models, challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement across planning and performance. This is a high-impact role in a large Australian organisation with real exposure to strategy and decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in commercial finance or business partnering
• Degree qualification in Finance, Commerce or a related discipline
• CA/CPA or MBA desirable
• Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling capability
• Advanced Excel and strong systems/data skills
• Excellent commercial and analytical thinking
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge and influence
• The ability to turn complex financial information into clear, actionable insights

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior Sales, Marketing and business leaders to drive performance
• Lead financial input into strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Analyse key revenue, volume and cost drivers and identify opportunities to improve profitability
• Build financial models and business cases to support major commercial decisions
• Provide clear, insightful commentary that helps leaders understand performance and make better decisions
• Support the development and evaluation of new initiatives and investment opportunities
• Challenge assumptions, identify risks and bring a strong commercial lens to decision making
• Drive continuous improvement across planning, forecasting and commercial finance processes
