Job summary

Warrnambool City Council is seeking a dynamic leader to develop and grow the city's events portfolio under the Warrnambool Events Strategy 2024-2028. You will work with diverse stakeholders, manage operational, logistical, marketing, risk and financial elements, and drive delivery of high-profile events to benefit community, economy and environment.

The role is permanent full-time, with a starting salary of $105,206 per annum, exclusive of superannuation, and a range of employee benefits

Qualifications

• Successful track record in event management, marketing and promotions.
• Creative thinker with strong ideas generation.
• Highly developed communication skills.
• Proven experience in managing large budgets.
• Ability to lead the development of a high performing team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Warrnambool's events portfolio under the Events Strategy 2024–2028.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders across council and partners.
• Oversee operational, logistical, marketing, risk and financial aspects of events.
• Drive growth and destination marketing for major events.
