Job summary

The Department of Education, Victoria, is seeking an Analyst to join the Budget Strategy team in the Budget, Corporate and Funding Strategy Division. You will analyse spending proposals, review business cases and provide trusted advice to inform ministerial decisions.

You'll engage with stakeholders across the department, support the state budget submission process and contribute to strategic investments and education funding policy through the business case cycle.

Qualifications

• Experience with the Victorian state budget process and public sector is highly desirable.
• A relevant tertiary qualification in a related field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Analyse spending proposals and provide quality advice to support decision making by departmental committees and Ministerial offices.
• Engage with stakeholders across the department on policy development through the business case process.
• Contribute to the development, review and submission of Education portfolio and Children portfolio budget bids.
• Undertake analysis, policy development and process management related to education funding and system design.
