Job summary

The ACT Government is seeking a Senior Director, Budget Management and Reporting to lead budget strategy, management, and reporting across the Directorate: Chief Minister, Treasury and Economic Development in Canberra.

You will provide strategic financial advice to decision-makers, oversee cost drivers, and collaborate with agencies to negotiate budget outcomes. This temporary position runs to 30 June 2027 with potential permanency and is based in Canberra.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in an accounting/finance discipline.
• CA ANZ or CPA Australia membership is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate budget management and reporting across the directorate.
• Provide financial advice to support decision making for the chief minister, treasury and economic development.
