Job summary

Siemens Energy in Australia is seeking a Portfolio Bid Manager – Controls & Digitalisation to lead end-to-end bid and proposal activities across the Controls, Digitalisation and Decarbonisation portfolio. You will collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Finance and Legal to ensure opportunities meet commercial, technical and compliance standards.

You will coordinate inputs from APAC, India and Germany, manage multiple bids in parallel, and present strategies to management for approval.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 8–10+ years in bid/proposal or project roles.
• Strong knowledge of control systems, power plants, and DCS platforms (Omnivise T3000).
• Understanding of commercial terms, risk management, and cost estimation.
• Experience coordinating cross-country teams and stakeholder inputs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to executives and customers.
• Fluent English and willingness to travel across Australia and APAC.

Responsibilities

• Manage bid and proposal activities across the portfolio in Australia, ensuring consistent application of Siemens Energy processes, approval gates, and governance standards.
• Collaborate with Portfolio Sales and Account Managers to assess technical feasibility, evaluate commercial attractiveness, and develop winning strategies.
• Present bid strategies and risks to management, manage multiple bids, deliver high-quality proposals on time.
• Coordinate inputs from APAC, India, Germany; serve as focal point for bid-related topics with customers.
• Support Sales during contract negotiations and ensure structured handover to Project Execution.
• Drive continuous improvement of bidding processes, tools, cost models, and risk frameworks.
