Job summary

Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) is seeking an experienced Strategic Asset Manager to lead planning, governance and optimisation of Victoria’s large asset portfolio. The role reports to the Executive Director and drives the organisation’s strategic asset management framework across firefighting fleets, heavy plant, buildings and critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in asset management, asset strategy or infrastructure planning.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management, risk-based decision-making and long-term asset investment planning.
• Proven ability to develop and implement strategic asset management frameworks and plans.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with operational branches to improve asset performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead development of FFAR's Strategic Asset Management Plan and asset management maturity uplift.
• Provide strategic advice on asset investment priorities and long-term portfolio planning.
• Strengthen asset governance, assurance and reporting across FFAR.
