Job summary

Avanade is seeking an AI Architect to lead enterprise-scale AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI initiatives. You will shape AI roadmaps, architect intelligent systems, and guide multidisciplinary teams from concept through production.

The ideal candidate combines deep Azure AI expertise, agentic frameworks, and enterprise architecture with strong consulting and stakeholder engagement capabilities.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise AI and Generative AI solutions.
• Deep understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, AI evaluation, agent architectures and reasoning frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with AI Agents, Agentic workflows, and autonomous systems.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, and enterprise knowledge platforms.
• Experience architecting cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI discovery workshops and identify high-value AI opportunities.
• Define AI transformation roadmaps aligned to business goals and technology strategy.
• Architect enterprise AI platforms leveraging Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Fabric, Databricks, and Azure services.
• Provide executive guidance on AI adoption, governance, risk and business value realization.
• Design AI Agent ecosystems for planning, reasoning, tool usage, and autonomous execution.
• Define architectures for multi-agent systems, copilots, digital assistants and automation.
• Architect RAG, knowledge systems, semantic search and grounding strategies.
• Establish scalable integration of AI Agents with enterprise apps and data sources.
• Lead solution design across AI Engineers, Data Engineers and Software Engineers.
• Define reference architectures, accelerators, development standards and best practices.
• Guide teams on architecture decisions, scalability, security and observability.
• Support pursuits, proposals and architecture reviews.
• Define Responsible AI, security, privacy and governance controls.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory risk requirements and AI quality assurance.
• Drive MLOps, LLMOps and AI operational excellence.
• Act as trusted advisor to C-level executives and stakeholders.
• Communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead architecture discussions, executive reviews and steering committees.
• Mentor architects and engineers and contribute to Avanade's AI thought leadership.
