A Victorian legal regulator is seeking a Strategic Adviser to the Executive Director to support divisional priorities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and advisory skills, a proven track record in relationship management, and excellent analytical abilities. We are the regulator of the Victorian legal profession. We license lawyers and oversee service standards and conduct, handle complaints about lawyers, investigate poor conduct and oversee management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria. We are a modern best practice regulator using data and insights to identify where our actions have the greatest impact on ensuring ethical and professional legal practice by Victorian lawyers, and we are passionate about maintaining and protecting the rule of law by ensuring the integrity of the legal profession.
We are recruiting for a Strategic Adviser to the Executive Director to join our Licensing & Complaints Business Unit. You will work alongside the Executive Director and the Business Unit's management team to support the delivery of our divisional and organisational priorities.
