Job summary

Now Careers seeks experienced Stormwater Labourers for ongoing work on civil infrastructure projects across Sydney. The role involves concrete patching, spalling repairs, surface prep, jackhammering, and general civil maintenance, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.

Working hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am–3:30pm with overtime and travel allowances. Ongoing long-term opportunities are available in Merrylands and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• White Card required.
• Confined Space Ticket within 2 years.
• Working at Heights Ticket within 2 years.
• Previous civil maintenance experience essential.
• Proven concrete patching, repairs and remediation experience.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Physically fit for manual work.

Responsibilities

• Concrete patching and repair works.
• Spalling and crack repairs.
• Surface preparation including grinding, chipping, and saw cutting.
• Jackhammering and remediation tasks.
• Apply repair mortars, epoxy systems, and concrete additives.
• Work in confined spaces and at heights.
• General labouring and civil maintenance duties.

Stormwater Labourer | $40-$42+/hr + Travel Allowance + OT

Now Careers is currently seeking experienced Stormwater Labourers to join a well-established civil infrastructure and asset maintenance company delivering major remediation and maintenance projects across Sydney. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a reputable business known for its strong safety culture, quality workmanship, and long-term project pipeline.

What's on Offer?

• $40-$42 per hour + $21 daily travel allowance
• Overtime available
• Ongoing casual role with full-time hours
• Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Merrylands location
• Long-term project work with potential for ongoing opportunities

Key Duties

• Concrete patching and repair works
• Spalling and crack repairs
• Surface preparation including grinding, chipping, and saw cutting
• Jackhammering and general remediation works
• Applying repair mortars, epoxy systems, and concrete additives
• Working in confined spaces and at heights
• General labouring and civil maintenance duties

Essential Requirements

• White Card
• Confined Space Ticket (within 2 years)
• Working at Heights Ticket (within 2 years)
• Previous civil maintenance experience
• Proven experience in concrete patching, repairs, and remediation
• Strong commitment to workplace safety
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work

Highly Regarded

• Experience working in tunnels, stormwater, or underground infrastructure projects
• Remediation or asset maintenance background
• Bricklaying or concrete laborer experience

Additional Information

• Parking available on site
• Drug & Alcohol screening required
• Confined Space Medical required following site induction
• PPE required: steel cap boots, long sleeve shirt, long pants, hard hat, gloves, and safety glasses (respiratory protection provided)
