Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an experienced Aviation Stores Person to support aircraft maintenance operations at Melbourne Airport. This role suits someone with previous stores, warehouse or inventory experience who understands the importance of accuracy, traceability and turnaround time in a regulated aviation environment. You will support maintenance teams by ensuring aircraft parts, tooling and consumables are available, controlled and recorded correctly.

Fast Turnaround & Confirmation: Our team has direct lines of contact with team leaders and hiring managers. We work to get strong applications reviewed quickly rather than leaving engineers waiting for weeks.
Integrated Aircraft Maintenance Training & Licencing: Sigma Aerospace College supports aircraft engineers with practical pathways across exclusion removal, multi-category licencing, type ratings and licence requalification.
Market Knowledge: We work with engineers, operators and airlines across the Asia-Pacific and understand the realities of aircraft maintenance roles, rosters, rates and licensing pathways.
Our team works exclusively in aviation. We answer the phone, understand the role requirements, and support candidates through the process.
Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or inventory control role. Aviation stores experience will be highly regarded.
No aircraft maintenance licence is required for this role. Knowledge of aviation parts, tooling, consumables and regulatory requirements such as CASA and CAAS will be highly regarded.
Must have full Australian work rights. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Must be Melbourne based or able to work locally at Melbourne Airport. FIFO and relocation support are not available.
Valid ASIC or ability to obtain. Valid Airside Driving Licence for Melbourne Airport required. Forklift licence and relevant stores or logistics certifications preferred. Valid Dangerous Goods by Air Acceptance training for Group A and F, equivalent to IATA Category 1 and 6, required.
Strong inventory control, accurate documentation, computer literacy, WMS or ERP system experience, attention to detail and the ability to work in an operational aviation environment.
Reliable, safety-focused, organised, practical and able to support maintenance teams under time pressure.
