Job summary

Queensland Corrective Services is seeking an Administration Officer – Stores at Lotus Glen Correctional Centre in Mareeba, Far North Queensland. The role involves stores administration with prisoner contact, guiding prisoners in the Stores unit, and supporting stock control, requisitions and canteen operations.

The position is fixed term temporary, full-time, with a tenure until 30 June 2027 and possible extension.

Responsibilities

• Process and monitor the acquittal and receipt of stores.
• Reconcile deliveries and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain an efficient recording system of inward and outward consignments.
• Contribute to quality control, hygiene and security of stores and storage facilities.
• Process internal requisitions for stock items.
• Maintain the centre's computerised stock control inventory and records.
• Stocktake and warehouse processes.
• Assist with unloading of trucks and ordering/issuing of corporate wardrobe.
• Monitor outstanding purchase orders for receipt of goods and services.
• Operate and maintain the prisoner canteen and perform sales to prisoner services.
