Sydney Tools is opening a brand-new Mittagong store and is looking for a Storeperson to help build the team for a successful grand opening. This full-time, hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys an active, varied day and takes pride in accurate stock handling.

You will receive, store, pick/pack orders, merchandise displays, and maintain a safe, clean environment. Previous warehouse experience and forklift licence are valued, along with a reliable team player attitude.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Storeperson, Dispatch, or Warehouse role.
• Strong work ethic, adaptable attitude, able to pivot between tasks.
• Reliable, punctual and ready to get stuck in.
• Ability to safely perform physical requirements (standing and lifting).
• Good communication to assist customers.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable using a computer.

Responsibilities

Join us as a Storeperson and help build our brand-new Mittagong store from the ground up! Our doors are officially opening at the end of November 2026, and we are looking for driven, hands-on individuals to help us set the standard and drive a massively successful grand opening.

This isn't just your standard warehouse role!

About the Role

• Receive, put away, and manage incoming stock.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch.
• Merchandise store displays to ensure the showroom is fully stocked, organised, and looking its best.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe dispatch and store environment.
• Work closely with the wider team to keep back-of-house operations running smoothly.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in a Storeperson, Dispatch, or Warehouse role.
• Strong work ethic, a positive adaptable attitude, and the ability to pivot between tasks when the store gets busy!
• Reliable, punctual, and ready to get stuck in.
• Ability to safely perform the inherent physical requirements of this role, which include continuous standing and manual handling.
• Well-articulated communication skills to confidently assist customers.
• A committed team player.
• Operationally strong and confidence in using a computer.

Mandatory Requirements

• High Risk Work Licence (Forklift):Must be valid within Australia.(Note: If you do not currently hold a licence but have a date booked to obtain one at your own expense, you may still apply).
• Background Screening:This role requires a mandatory criminal history check.
