Job summary

Yunex Traffic is seeking a reliable Casual Storeman to join the warehouse and operations team in Sydney for a 3-month period. The role covers picking, packing, dispatch prep, and goods inwards support, with a focus on safety and quality in a busy environment.

You will work closely with the Operations Manager and team, ensuring accurate handling of goods and compliance with company procedures. This position involves manual handling, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and organized Casual Storeman to join our warehouse and operations team for 3 months. This hands‑on role is responsible for picking, packing and preparing goods for dispatch, unpacking incoming goods for production, and maintaining a clean, safe and well‑organized warehouse.

Working closely with the Operations Manager and wider team, you will help ensure goods are handled accurately, customer requirements are met, and warehouse activities are completed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Picking, Packing & Dispatch

• Determine goods required for dispatch using the Back Order Report and relevant picking documentation.
• Pick, pack, label and prepare goods for dispatch in line with instructions and customer requirements.
• Check goods against picking slips and notify the supervisor of any discrepancies.
• Handle and package products carefully to prevent damage or deterioration during storage and shipping.
• Complete and file dispatch paperwork and quality records as required.
• Assist with arranging the shipment of goods.

Goods Inwards & Production Support

• Unpack cabinets and other incoming goods for production.
• Safely move, store and organise goods within the warehouse.
• Assist production and operations teams with warehouse‑related tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Quality, Safety & Warehouse Maintenance

• Identify, report and quarantine non‑conforming products in accordance with procedures.
• Maintain the warehouse and work areas in a clean, tidy and presentable condition.
• Follow all safety rules and complete activities in a safe, quality‑focused and environmentally responsible manner.
• Work in accordance with Aldridge Traffic Controllers quality, work health and safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
• Follow workplace requirements for identifying and managing psychosocial hazards.
• Work collaboratively and follow reasonable directions from the supervisor.

About You

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and procedures.
• Good manual dexterity and hand soldering skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of quality assurance principles.
• Commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental responsibilities.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• At least one year of experience as a storeperson or in a similar warehousing role.
• Previous experience with picking, packing, goods inwards and dispatch.
