Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a Storesperson / Forklift Operator for a busy steel environment in Brisbane. You will operate forklifts and gantry cranes, move steel coils up to 2 tonnes, load/unload trucks and coordinate freight.

This role requires a current LF forklift licence, gantry crane experience and a commitment to safety and teamwork. The position offers a stable, day-shift schedule from 6:30am to 2:30pm with opportunities to develop stores and crane operating skills.

Our Client is a leading steel industry business providing products and services to a range of customers. They are seeking an experienced Storesperson to join their team and support daily warehouse and freight operations.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Storesperson / Forklift Operator you will be responsible for the below duties:

• Operate forklifts and gantry cranes safely and efficiently
• Move steel coils weighing up to 2 tonnes accurately
• Load and unload trucks
• Coordinate and book freight
• Maintain accurate inventory and complete stocktakes
• Provide service support to clients
• Follow safety, quality and environmental requirements
• Work collaboratively as part of the stores team

What You Will Need

To be successful in this role you will need to have the below:

• Current LF forklift licence
• Previous gantry crane experience
• Steel industry experience preferred
• Ability to safely handle steel products
