Job summary

Middy’s Electrical in Kingston, Tasmania, is seeking a Storeperson/Driver to handle stock, deliveries and customer service while supporting the smooth operation of the branch. You will receive, check and process incoming goods, pick and pack orders, load and unload, and maintain accurate information in branch systems, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

A valid driver’s licence is required; forklift licence and warehouse experience are highly regarded, and you’ll join a supportive,

Job description

The Role

• Receive, check and process incoming goods accurately against paperwork.
• Process customer orders, including picking and packing goods for delivery or collection.
• Load and unload goods from vehicles and containers safely and efficiently.
• Organise stock and maintain a clean, safe and well-presented store.
• Organise and complete delivery runs in line with scheduled delivery times.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed correctly and customer signatures are obtained.
• Coordinate customer delivery and pickup requirements.
• Assist customers with enquiries and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process returned goods and assist with customer credits where required.
• Return defective, oversupplied or incorrectly delivered goods to suppliers.
• Work closely with branch staff to support efficient daily operations.
• Maintain accurate information within branch systems and follow company processes.
• Comply with company policies, procedures and QHSE requirements.

About You

• A valid driver's licence.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• The ability to follow instructions while showing initiative.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• A customer-focused approach and good communication skills.
• Previous warehouse experience and a valid forklift licence will be highly regarded.
