Job summary

Premier Fresh Australia is seeking a dependable Storeperson / HR Truck Driver in Epping to join our Operations team. The role blends warehouse and local deliveries, requiring safety awareness, forklift operation and accurate paperwork.

You will handle receivals, stock handling, dispatch, and customer-focused deliveries on a rotating seven-day roster, with early starts from 6:00 am. Previous fresh produce experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, storeperson, dispatch or transport operations.
• Understanding of receivals, stock handling and dispatch processes.
• Experience with loading/unloading, local deliveries and transport documentation.

This is a varied, hands‑on role that combines storeperson and warehouse duties with local deliveries and pickups. You’ll play an important part in keeping our fresh produce moving efficiently, supporting our customers and helping our operations team deliver outstanding service.

About The Role

This full‑time roleoffers variety, with responsibilities across our warehouse, dispatch and transport operations, including:

Storeperson and Warehouse Duties - 50%

• Assist with daily warehouse operations, including receivals, putaways, order preparation and dispatch.
• Pick, check and prepare orders accurately to meet customer requirements.
• Load and unload vehicles safely, ensuring fresh produce is handled with care.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and dispatch area.
• Check stock, products and paperwork to help ensure orders are accurate and ready on time.

Truck Driving and Delivery Duties - 50%

• Complete local customer deliveries and supplier pickups in a safe, timely and professional manner.
• Load, secure and unload goods in accordance with transport and food‑handling requirements.
• Complete delivery dockets, transport paperwork and other required documentation accurately.
• Conduct daily pre‑start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow road safety requirements, company procedures and delivery schedules.
• Communicate effectively with customers, warehouse colleagues and the wider operations team.

Teamwork and Safety

• Work collaboratively with the warehouse, dispatch and transport teams to meet daily operational targets.
• Follow workplace health and safety, manual handling and food safety procedures.
• Assist with other operational duties as required.

What you will bring

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety‑conscious and willing to get involved wherever needed.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A current Heavy Rigid (HR) driver’s licence.(Must have)
• A current Victorian driver’s licence.(Must have)
• A current forklift licence. (Must have)
• Experience in warehouse, storeperson, dispatch or transport operations.
• An understanding of receivals, stock handling and dispatch processes.
• Experience with loading and unloading, local deliveries and transport documentation.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• The ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• A strong commitment to workplace safety, accuracy and reliability.
• The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet operational deadlines.
• Availability for early morning starts from 6:00 am and a rotating roster that supports our seven‑day operation.

Experience in fresh produce, food distribution or other perishable goods environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
