Petstock Country Brindabella is located in Hume ACT. Our Petstock Country Stores offer an additional range of locally tailored and affordable rural products, welcoming service and expert advice, enabling our customers to care for their animals and land with ease and enjoyment.

A day in the life…

  • Lead by example, mentoring & inspiring your team on a daily basis
  • Coach your team to achieve & develop their knowledge and skills
  • Lead from the front, providing an exceptional customer experience
  • Create strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team
  • Recruit, onboard, and induct high calibre new Team Members
  • Be responsible for stock management, ensuring stock is maintained and accurate & the team are aware of stock integrity processes
  • Be proactive in making sure you keep your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services we provide
  • Create a fun, supportive culture instore where your team loves coming to work every day
  • Pro-actively support local marketing opportunities and sponsorships

What we need…

  • Experience in equine, rural and hobby farm products an advantage
  • Experience in a similar store leadership role or ready to take that next step up in your retail management career
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales
  • Strong leadership with ability to motivate and build a high performing team, with a positive culture
  • High degree of resilience & ability to priorities and manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to create a positive culture of safety
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve & exceed sales targets
  • Established business acumen
  • Understanding of KPI's and ability to encourage team to achieve
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
  • High degree of interpersonal & communication skills
