Job summary

Autobarn, part of Bapcor Ltd, is seeking a Store Manager to drive performance across a 38-hour week (Tuesday–Saturday). You’ll lead day-to-day operations, inspire a high‑performing team and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

You’ll report to the Area Manager and own rostering, budgeting and store standards while upholding health & safety and service excellence. Automotive experience is an advantage, but leadership and results matter most.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader.
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop teams.
• A sales-driven mindset with the capability to deliver financial results and KPI’s.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• A values-led, collaborative and adaptable approach, with the ability to lead change and build strong relationships.

You will be rostered for 38 hours per week, working Tuesday through to Saturday.

Automotive experience is an advantage, but it’s your leadership and ability to drive results that truly matter most.

About the role

As Store Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, build a high-performing team, and create a stand-out store culture. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll influence positive outcomes for customers, the team, and the business.

You will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for:

Team & Culture:Build a skilled, passionate team by recruiting for values, coaching performance, developing capability and driving service excellence.

Leadership:Lead through the Autobarn values, inspiring an inclusive, high‑performing team while driving sales growth, operational excellence and customer experience.

Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management

Store Standards: Maintain visual merchandising, promotional accuracy, and presentation standards

Financial & Admin: Manage budgets, rostering, inventory, and performance metrics to optimise results and minimise loss

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader
