Job summary

Autobarn is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and coach a high‑performing team in our fast paced retail network. You’ll shape the store culture, ensure exceptional customer service, and optimise commercial outcomes with hands‑on leadership.

Reporting to the Area Manager, you’ll manage recruitment, training, safety, visual standards and budgeted targets while delivering a memorable customer experience across our range of automotive parts and accessories.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader.
• Strong people leadership with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• Sales-driven with the capability to deliver financial results and KPIs.

You will be rostered for 38 hours per week, working Tuesday through to Saturday.

Automotive experience is an advantage, but it’s your leadership and ability to drive results that truly matter most.

About the role

As the Store Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, build a high-performing team, and create a stand-out store culture. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll influence positive outcomes for customers, the team, and the business.

You will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for:

Team & Culture: Build a skilled, passionate team by recruiting for values, coaching performance, developing capability and driving service excellence.

Leadership: Lead through the Autobarn values, inspiring an inclusive, high‑performing team while driving sales growth, operational excellence and customer experience.

Health & Safety: Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance and proactive risk management

Store Standards: Maintain visual merchandising, promotional accuracy, and presentation standards

Financial & Admin: Manage budgets, rostering, inventory, and performance metrics to optimise results and minimise loss

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Store Manager or senior retail leader
• Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop high‑performing teams
• A sales‑driven mindset with the capability to deliver financial results and KPI’s
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills
• A values‑led, collaborative, and adaptable approach, with the ability to lead change and build strong customer and retail relationships
• Commitment to workplace health & safety, compliance, and risk management practices
