Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a warehouse associate to join our Victoria team. You will handle receiving, inspecting, and processing goods, picking, packing, and loading for dispatch, and ensuring inventory accuracy with regular counts.

You will operate forklifts where licensed, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with drivers and suppliers to minimise downtime and optimise storage and delivery processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods.

Job description

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming goods and materials.
• Pick, pack, prepare orders, and load trucks ready for dispatch.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock counts and cycle counts.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and compliantly where licensed.
• Keep warehouse areas clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards.
• Manage delivery dockets, manifests, and inventory records.
• Support inventory control, stock rotation, and storage optimisation.
• Liaise with internal teams, drivers, and suppliers to coordinate deliveries and dispatch.
• Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
• Manage stock and prepare trucks for crews to minimise downtime on the VRMC contract.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or storeperson role.
• Forklift licence essential.
• MR truck licence preferred but not essential.
• Strong understanding of warehouse processes including receiving, dispatch, and stock control.
• Experience using inventory or warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Ability to safely lift, move, and handle materials.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Basic computer skills, including email, data entry, and inventory systems.
• Relevant certificates in warehousing or logistics preferred but not required.
• Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to WHS standards.
