Job summary
Prime tile and stone Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Stone Estimator to support residential and commercial projects in Dandenong, VIC. The role involves interpreting drawings and specifications to produce accurate quotations, considering stone layouts, wastes and installation requirements.
You'll price materials, fabrication, delivery and access, obtain supplier quotes, and ensure tenders are complete and timely. This position offers steady work with potential for growth within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience estimating in stonemasonry or stone fabrication.
- Ability to read architectural drawings and prepare accurate estimates.
- Knowledge of stone materials, finishes, fabrication and installation.
- Good Excel skills and estimating software exposure.
- Attention to tender deadlines and detail in quotes.
- Clear communication with builders, suppliers and project teams.
- Australian work rights.
Responsibilities
- Review plans, specs and stone schedules to prepare quantity take-offs.
- Calculate material needs considering slab layout, vein matching and waste.
- Price materials, fabrication, delivery and installation including site access.
- Obtain supplier/subcontractor prices and check lead times.
- Clarify missing details with builders and prepare inclusive quotations.
- Review pricing with management and follow up quotes/variations.
- Assist handover of awarded jobs and update estimating rates.
