Job summary

Discount Drug Stores in Mackay is seeking a hands-on team member to handle deliveries and stock control, with a training pathway in pharmacy work for the right person. Whether you're a school leaver, changing careers, or returning to the workforce, attitude and willingness to learn matter more than experience.

You’ll deliver prescriptions and orders, manage stock, keep records, and support the floor as your training progresses.

Qualifications

• Current, full Australian driver's licence (essential).
• Local knowledge of Mackay or ability to learn quickly.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.
• Discreet and professional when dealing with medications and personal information.
• Comfortable with basic computer systems (training provided).
• Physically able to lift and move stock between locations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver prescriptions and pharmacy orders to customers' homes and facilities.
• Plan efficient daily delivery runs and ensure timely dispatch.
• Maintain records and report issues to the pharmacy.
• Receive, check and put away deliveries from wholesalers.
• Manage stock levels, rotation and dating of stock.
• Keep shelves and storerooms organised.

Are you organised, reliable and looking for a role with room to grow? Our busy community pharmacy in Mackay is looking for a hands-on team member to take care of deliveries and stock control, with a training pathway in pharmacy work for the right person.

What you'll do

• Deliver prescriptions and pharmacy orders to customers' homes, retirement villages and community-based facilities
• Plan efficient daily delivery runs and make sure every delivery goes out on time
• Handle medicines with care, including keeping refrigerated items cold during transport
• Confirm customer details and collect signatures or proof of delivery where required
• Maintain accurate delivery records and report any issues back to the pharmacy
• Keep the work car clean, organised and report any maintenance needs
• Receive, check and put away wholesaler and supplier deliveries
• Manage stock levels, ordering, rotation and date checking
• Keep the shelves, dispensary stock areas and storeroom organised
• Learn pharmacy operations and support the team on the floor as your training progresses

What we’re looking for

• A current, full Australian driver's licence (essential) and a safe driving record
• Local knowledge of Mackay and surrounding areas, or the ability to learn it quickly
