Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) is seeking candidates to join our panel of respected Stewards. You will contribute to fair competition by attending race meetings and inquiries, analysing race footage, and engaging with industry stakeholders at trials and events.

We value integrity, professionalism, and strong administrative skills. Applicants with stewarding experience and knowledge of racing principles are encouraged to apply; training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in a stewarding environment or as a steward
• Knowledge of racing, horses and race strategies is desirable
• Understanding of legal principles relating to Harness Racing
• Detail minded with strong interpersonal, analytical, interpretation and negotiation skills
• Confident, professional and articulate with strong administrative skills

Responsibilities

• Attend race meetings, Inquiries & Appeals to ensure fair competition
• Analyse races and video to judge potential interference or tactics
• Interact with diverse industry stakeholders at official trials and qualifying events
