Job summary

The Star Sydney is actively seeking a Stewarding team member to maintain the Food & Beverage spaces across our kitchens, bars, and restaurants. This is a physically demanding role with tight timelines but highly rewarding as you contribute to exceptional guest experiences.

You will work with the Culinary team to ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation, while enjoying a supportive environment and opportunities for growth within The Star Sydney.

Qualifications

• Flexible availability across a 7-day roster.
• Experience in kitchen cleaning or heavy manual labour.
• Good communication skills and professional attitude.
• Ability to work solo or as part of a large team.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Culinary team to ensure all restaurant equipment is cleaned and restocked for every service.
• Clean equipment through dishwasher, hot wash, and recycle materials.
• Ensure cleaning checklists are completed and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organisation of Food and Beverage venues.

As a Stewarding team member you will be responsible for maintaining the entire Food & Beverage spaces including the many kitchens, bars and restaurants. This position is a physically demanding role with tight time constraints and a high level of attention to detail but very rewardingwith a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day!

This is a fantastic opportunity where you will ensure the highest levels of health and hygiene are maintained across our Food & Beverage outlets at The Star Sydney.

A few of your responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Culinary team to ensure all restaurant equipment is cleaned and restocked ready for every service
• Cleaning equipment through dishwasher, hot wash, and recycling of materials
• Ensuring cleaning checklists completed and hygiene standards are maintained
• Maintain overall cleanliness and organisation of Food and Beverage venues

What are we looking for:

• Previous experience in kitchen cleaning or heavy manual labour (highly desired)
• Good communication skills, with apositive and professional attitude
• Ability to work both solo and as part of large team
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products, techniques and methods (desired but not essential)
